Heya' loony toonz!
I just wanted to recommend a few art books that I picked up recently that have been REALLY inspiring to me.
First up ART OF PLANET 51
www.amazon.com/Art-Planet-51-D…
Great price as well as packed full of AWESOME conceptual and production art... this one is a keeper regardless of how the movie turned out (I'm not saying the movie was good or bad... but the book is TERRIFIC).

Second,
The art of MONSTER VS ALIENS!
www.amazon.com/Art-Monsters-vs…
Great development process for Ginormica and the rest of the critters.  Most noteworthy about this book is how they solved the size relation problems between the characters and their surroundings. Beautiful looking book!

Third,
Mechanika: Creating the Art of Science Fiction with Doug Chiang (Star Wars movies designer)
www.amazon.com/Mechanika-Creat…
This book is insightful for creating technical drawings of fantasy space ships, vehicles & technology.
Most noteworthy is Doug's process for creating Prisma marker based concepts .... very useful to apply to sketch cards and other artworks!!!

There you have it!
If you are a book hound like I am, these are practically MUST HAVES for your library!
Cheers!

I picked up both the Art of Planet 51 (LOVE the styling in that movie!) and the Doug Chiang book, but I've been so busy lately, I haven't had time to look through them properly or any of the other artbooks I've chased down in the last 3 months or so! Last great artbook I really at time to look through was 'the art of Paul Bonner' - some of his work is just so amazing it actually left me overawed and unable to work for the rest of the day!
