Hey everyone! Its getting into the holiday season again, so its time for this year's community-wide Holiday Art Swap! :holly:

Its been an annual event on :devart: since 2006. Some of the previous years have seen several hundred artists participate, but since :devart: has been a little quieter than usual these days we need your help to make the event bigger and better than ever!

The event is fully hosted at its own group at :iconholidayartswap:

How does it work? Its easy: Participants are paired up randomly and do a gift art trade with each other. The gifts don't have to be holiday themed, you can request anything your partner is comfortable with doing. So if that's something you would be interested in taking part in, then please feel free to sign up (see link at the bottom).

Who can join in? While the event is open to any kind of illustrator, it is also open to writers, handcraft artisans, photographers, 3D artists, and others (anyone creative). It can be tricky to fulfill some wishes, but it's been really neat seeing artisans creating items like homemade scarves for their partners, photographers taking special shots for theirs, even writers creating short stories or poetry.

What is this event for? Its all in the spirit of giving to fellow artists, having fun and being sociable. Oftentimes its a great opportunity to make new friends and get to know artists and other creative people whom you might not have seen or spoken with before.

Now here's the thing: Signup is only open until December 6th, 2016

:holly: CLICK HERE TO SIGNUP & READ EVENT DETAILS! :holly:

If you have any questions about the event, the event blog is also a good place to leave them for the organizers.

And if you decide to participate, we recommend joining that group or adding it to your devwatch (especially the group's journals) so that you don't miss out on any updates. The entire event will take place on the HolidayArtSwap group itself.

**********************************************************************

Just when you thought this group wasn’t doing anything, we’re proud to announce our FOURTH :icondrumfishproductions:  Art Contest here on deviantArt!

Our first three contests were full of AMAZING entries and we know the same will be said about this new contest. Some of our past winners AND contributors have even contributed to some future projects we’re working on. So, you don’t necessarily have to be the “winner” to make this contest worth entering!

Since our last contest, we’ve added our new original graphic novel, BUGGED, to our library of titles (making it four, which seems fitting time to have our fourth contest!) and we’ve added two new figurines (Nina from NEVERMINDS and Splash from SENTINELS).

The rules are simple and the same as before:

1. Create a piece of art featuring any Drumfish Productions character/s. (Sentinels, NeverMinds, our Anthology and/or Bugged. See galleries or www.drumfishproductions.com and  www.facebook.com/pages/Drumfis… for reference.)

2. Use any medium you like. Pencils, inks, paints, etc. Let's see your talent. Go wild!

3. Deadline: April 16th, 2014. Don't wait until the last minute though! Time goes by quickly and before you know it the deadline will pass!

And here are the prizes:

On April 17th, 2014, the Founder and Co-Founders will each score the entrees. Each piece will be scored on a scale of 1-5. FIVE being the highest and ONE being the lowest. The top 3 scores will win.

Feel free to ask any questions that you may have and we will answer them promptly.

So, pull out your sketch pad, wacom tablet, paint brushes, etc. and let's see some art!!

Contest is open to all contributors, members, watchers, and any deviant interested. Please feel free to pass along this journal to anyone who may be interested, or repost this in your own journal.

We look forward to seeing what you come up with!

:iconrichbernatovech::iconjamiefayx::icondstpierre::iconlucianovecchio:
hey everyone.

the pics of men, nudity and little girls is getting out of control. i have had to spend a lot of time cleaning out images that don't follow the rules of the group.

from now on, if you don't follow the groups very simple rules, found in the top left corner of group's profile page, i will remove you and your art from the group. we have very few rules and it should be very easy to follow. if you can't, this isn't the group for you. here are the rules here as well:

~Toon Up is an invitation only group of top notch artists that have an extra special skill for drawing the female form in an exceptional manner. The art is fun, sexy and has that "X" factor to it! NO, I don't mean in a pornographic way.

~We DON'T accept nudity in any submissions as a general rule, we want to reach as big an audience as we can.

~The artists contributing their work to TOON-UP want to bring you the best viewing experience possible, so we just can't accept anything less. So, for those that are not a direct part of TOON-UP, please do NOT be offended if any of your submissions are not accepted. It is NOT because you suck or anything... it's probably due to the particular work not fitting in with what we are looking to present.

so, basically - no nudity, fun/sexy and your best work. if you don't follow these simple rules you will be removed from the group. so no little girls, no nudity, must be a woman - no men allowed.
We hope everyone has a great holiday with family and/or friends, wherever they may be!

Take care, enjoy yourselves, and be safe!

All the best to and from everyone at :icontoon-up: :holly:
